ABOUT US
Ogemaw County has a rich history of motorcycle
events.
It all started with a boy and a dream. At the age of
15, Ken "Fuzzy" Gildner got his first motorcycle, a
Whizzer, then a Triumph and a Ducati. In 1963, at
the age of 23, Ken started Gildner's Cycle Shop,
where he carries BSA, Hodaka, and Bridgestone. In
1968, he started selling OSSA, Rickman, and Norton
and then in the 1970's he took on Triumph. In 1980,
Ken took on Harley Davidson and since then,
Gildner's Cycle Shop has grown to be Gildner's
Harley Davidson, Inc. They have added many additions
through the years to accommodate the growing sport
of motorcycling.
When Ken brought the idea of having the Michigan
Harley Davidson Rendezvous in West Branch at the
Ogemaw County Fairgrounds, the rally found its home
and has evolved into what is now Ogemaw Hills Bike
Week.
Thanks Fuzz!
The goal of Ogemaw Hills Bike Week is to bring motorcyclist, motorcycle clubs,
and organizations together for a week of motorcycle
events around Ogemaw County. A full list of events
are being planned for 2010. Whatever type of
motorcycle you ride, come and join us for some
awesome riding, beautiful fairgrounds, and a
community that welcomes you!
